Electronic/Digital Art Requirements
To assure the best possible outcome of your decorated promotional products, acceptable electronic vector artwork must be received. The following guidelines will help graphic artists prepare electronic/digitally produced artwork so delays are avoided prior to production orders being placed.
Submitted digitally produced artwork
and camera-ready artwork is assumed to be correct
and will be printed as submitted.
Don't have digitally produced artwork? Contact us for graphic assistance. FREE of charge, Cheshire Marketing will set limited straight line copy.
Electronic/Digital Art may be emailed, uploaded on cheshiremarketing.com or sent via the postal service on a CD-ROM. PC files created with Adobe Illustrator 9 - CS4 or CorelDRAW 10 - 12 are preferred. Type needs to be converted to outlines in Illustrator and curves in CorelDRAW. This conversion eliminates problems with various type styles. Type will no longer be editable but will be able to be sized and rotated like other graphic elements.
E-mail artwork to: art@cheshiremarketing.com
Camera-Ready Art is usually 600 dpi or greater (1200+ dpi preferred) black and white line art, with no halftones or screen tints, produced on an ink jet or laser printer. If possible, output your graphics on hard surfaced, extra bright, white paper. Imprints with more than one color require color-separated black and white line art with registration marks and a color composite indicating spot PMS colors or CMYK values for process graphics.
Letterhead, business cards, and other forms of printed graphics generally require art production time to make camera-ready and adds lead time to your order.
Many of our suppliers accept additional forms of electronic media and a broad variety of graphic software files, QuarkXpress, PhotoShop, PageMaker and Freehand in both PC and Mac formats. For these and other file formats, contact us to discuss availability, conversion options (if required) and charges.
